Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie, was facing the death penalty, following a 2009 murder of a man in his home.
Boosie who’s real name is Terry Boyd, was on trial for the murder; which began on May 7th. A total of 27 witnesses were called, and closing arguments, were conducted by both the prosecution and defense, four days later on May 11th.
Following the closing arguments, the jury received the case, and began to deliberate. After only 90 minutes of deliberations, the jury found Lil Boosie not guilty. It’s now been reported, that Lil Boosie, has been released from jail.
