Yesterday, was day 12 in the Conrad Murray manslaughter trial. Brief testimony was heard from anesthesiologist Dr. Steven Shafer, who wrote the instructions found on the insert of propofol. He’s expected to continue his testimony on Monday. According to the prosecution,Dr. Shafer’s testimony will be in alignment with what Dr. Steinberg said, with respect to Murray being negligent giving Michael the drug propofol without having proper medical equipment on hand to monitor Michael.
Dr. Shafer is the last witness for the prosecution. The trial was adjourned early yesterday, to allow Dr. Shafer the opportunity to leave, so that he could attend a medical convention in Chicago. The trial resumes on Monday October 17, 2011.
